These terms are a contract between you and CrierData Limited, trading as CrierData ("CrierData", "we", "us"), for use of the CrierData platform at crierdata.com and app.crierdata.com. By creating an account you agree to them.
CrierData provides property data for England and Wales, compiled from official public registers and searchable through our platform, exports, and API. What each plan includes is set out on our pricing page.
You must provide accurate details when signing up and keep your password and any API keys secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for use by one person; organisation plans cover named team members. You must be at least 18.
Paid plans are billed monthly by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Organisation plans are billed annually by invoice under a separate order.
Prices are as shown on our pricing page. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT; VAT will be added if and when we are required to charge it.
Each plan carries usage limits, shown on the pricing page and in your account. These exist to prevent bulk extraction, and we enforce them. You must not scrape the platform, harvest data in bulk, share account credentials to pool limits, or attempt to circumvent usage limits or the restrictions applied to free accounts.
Address data in CrierData is used under licence from Ordnance Survey and Royal Mail. Those licences bind you too: you may use address data within your own organisation and for your own work, but you must not redistribute, resell, or republish it, or extract it in bulk for use in another product or dataset. Exports are for your organisation's internal use.
Subscribers may use EPC data only for the permitted purposes set out in the MHCLG EPC licensing restrictions, which are reproduced on our Data sources & licensing page and attached to every export.
Address data must not be displayed on any public-facing website, app or service, whether yours or a customer's.
CrierData compiles data from official public registers, including the national EPC register, HM Land Registry, the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Historic England, Cadw and others. We work hard to compile it accurately, and where coverage is incomplete we say so rather than filling gaps with guesses.
However, we do not control the source registers. Data may contain errors made at source, and may lag behind changes in the underlying registers between our releases. We are not responsible for inaccuracies or omissions in government or third-party source data.
CrierData is an information tool, not professional advice. Energy assessments, flood designations and similar records are produced by third parties under their own methodologies. You should verify anything material before relying on it in a transaction, report, or decision.
Free accounts see real energy-performance figures; address, location, and premium enrichment fields are locked rather than shown, and are never replaced with fabricated values. Full records are available on paid plans.
You must use CrierData lawfully. You must not use it to harass, stalk, or profile individuals, to discriminate unlawfully, or in any way that infringes others' rights. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with refunds at our discretion except where the law requires otherwise.
The CrierData platform, its compilation, derived fields and presentation are ours. Source data remains subject to its own licences (see our Data sources & licensing page). Your exports are yours to use within these terms and those licences.
We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may improve or change features over time. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give paying customers reasonable notice.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or losses arising from reliance on the data (see section 6), and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. You may not transfer your account or this agreement to anyone else without our consent.
